Join Us for the Community "Oh Baby! It's a Baby Shower"

The 14th Annual "Oh Baby! It's a Baby Shower" will be held April 4, 2015, at the Morehead Conference Center in Morehead.  This annual event links participants to community resources to help support a growing family during pregnancy, infancy, and beyond.  It's also a great opportunity to network with other parents and parents-to-be. This event is free to the public and registration is not required for participation.

Informational Booths
Each year over 50 booths provide education and information on topics such as breast feeding, dental care, infant care, new fathers, immunizations, pre- and post-natal education, financial information, safety information and many more.

Educational Sessions
Controlling the Risks of Maternal Mortality presented by Frank R. LaBarbera, MD
Hormones Are Your Helpers presented by Frances A. Meritt, CNM

Sneak Peek Ultrasound
Would you like a "Sneak Peek" of your baby's fingers and toes?  Does he or she have a full head of hair?  The Morehead State University Diagnostic Medical Sonography department will be drawing names for free ultrasounds.  Winners will be announced throughout the baby shower.  Please visit the sonography booth for details and restrictions.

Door Prizes
The local community generously supports this event every year, and the NE KY AHEC is able to help many new and expecting parents.  Items available to win often include car seats, strollers, bassinets, clothes, blankets, toys, etc.  Many of the items are given away at the conclusion of our educational sessions, with the remaining prizes given away at the end of the event.  To be eligible for door prizes, participants must check-in at the door upon entering the event, and be present to win.
